10 3/4 oz. milk (use mushroom soup can to measure)

1 1lb. loaf of Velveeta cheese

Cornflake crumbs (enough to cover the top of the casserole)

Use a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Cook macaroni and drain. Place in bottom of baking dish. Add chicken then cover with mushrooms, mushroom soup, chicken broth and milk. Top with cheese. Mix this casserole the night before, omitting the cornflake crumbs. Cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to use. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. Add cornflake crumbs and bake 1/2 hour longer.

Chicken Casserole

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can cream of celery soup

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can milk

1/3 cup butter

1 cup rice

6 to 8 chicken breasts or legs

Melt butter in a 9 x 15 inch pan. Add rice then mix soups and milk and pour over rice. Place chicken on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Cover with foil. Uncover for last 15 minutes.

Chicken Rice Casserole

1 cup uncooked minute rice

1 pkg. onion soup mix

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can milk (use soup can to measure)

1 whole chicken (uncooked)

Stir all ingredients together in bowl and pour into casserole or roaster. Place chicken pieces on top. Bake until done and brown. (Do not turn chicken.) Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Easy Meatless Meals

Eating a vegetarian meal doesn't mean you have to buy odd grains or eat beans that take hours to cook. When it comes to quick, easy meals ideal for busy weeknights, many vegetarian entrees are perfect since you don't have to thaw or cook meat. If you're an occasional vegetarian, you already know this.

But if you tend to stick to the meat-and-potatoes routine, give a vegetarian dinner a try. These three ideas can be just as satisfying as beef or chicken, and are quick to put together after a busy day. And if you decide you absolutely can't do without meat, any of these recipes could also be a great side-dish for a beef or chicken entree.

Black Bean Soup

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 clove garlic, crushed

½ cup chopped onion

2 15-ounce cans black beans, drained

1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes

1 small can green chiles

1 teaspoon dried thyme

¼ cup sour cream (optional)

Heat olive oil in a large saucepan. Saute onions and garlic in oil over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add beans, tomatoes, green chiles, and thyme and simmer till hot, about 15 minutes. If using sour cream, add at the end of the simmering time. Do not allow soup to come to a boil after adding the sour cream or it will curdle.

Tomato Zucchini Casserole

2 large zucchini, sliced in rounds

2 large or 3 medium tomatoes, sliced

1 cup onion, thinly sliced

½ cup Parmesan cheese

salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350°. In a greased casserole dish with a lid, layer half of the zucchini, tomatoes, and onion. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients. Sprinkle salt and pepper over, and top with Parmesan. Bake, covered, for 20 minutes. Remove cover and bake for about 15 minutes more to allow excess moisture to evaporate. Serve with crusty bread.

Potato Frittata

A frittata is an Italian version of quiche - and it's extra easy since there's no crust.

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 medium-sized baking potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch dice

3 tablespoons flour

¾ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon basil or oregano

8 eggs, beaten to blend

¼ cup Parmesan cheese

salt and pepper

Melt butter and oil in a heavy 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Mix potatoes with flour. Add potatoes, paprika, garlic powder, basil or oregano to skillet, and cook, stirring often, until potatoes are just tender, about 10 minutes.

Combine eggs with Parmesan cheese in medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Pour egg mixture over potatoes in skillet. Do not stir eggs - instead, pierce holes in egg mixture and lift edges with spatula, tipping pan to allow uncooked egg to flow underneath until an edge forms, about 1 minute. Reduce heat to low, cover skillet, and continue cooking until eggs are set, 10 to 12 minutes. When eggs are set, invert frittata onto platter and serve.

Delicious Simple Pasta Casseroles For You

A casserole dish is a deep, large dish which is normally used in the oven and the food that is cooked in it is called a casserole. These are also suitable serving dishes. Pasta casseroles are extremely easy and tasty to make in this fashion.

Seafood Pasta Casserole.
Ingredients:
1 lb. Egg noodles, med. Width;
2 cans cream of mushroom soup;
1 lb. Shrimp or crab meat (cooked);
8 oz. Cheddar cheese;
8 oz. Swiss cheese;
1/2 lb. French style green beans;
1 jar artichoke hearts (sub.);
1/2 lb. Carrots;
8 oz. Coarsely chopped almonds;
6 oz. Flavored bread crumbs;
1 Sm. Can pitted black olives;
2 oz. Pimentos;
1 lemon.

Directions:Cook pasta and set aside to cool, keep in cool water. Next place a layer of artichokes or green beans on bottom of casserole dish. In separate bowl toss pasta with carrots, olives, both cheeses grated, almonds if green beans are bottom layer and add pimentos. Add seafood and continue to toss, and then add all to the casserole dish. Pour both cans of cream of mushroom soup over mixture and allow it to be soaked up. Cover top with the bread crumbs. Squeeze a little lemon on top for flavor. Place in 300 degree oven for 30-45 minutes and serve.

Macaroni Cheese (Crock Pot).
Ingredients:
16 ounces elbow macaroni;
1/2 cup margarine - melted
2 large eggs - beaten;
12 ounces evaporated milk;
10 3/4 ounces condensed cheese soup;
1 cup milk;
16 ounces shredded cheddar cheese - divided;
1/8 teaspoon paprika.

Directions:Cook macaroni according to package direction; drain. Place in a 5-quart slow cooker; add margarine. In a bowl, combine the eggs, evaporated milk, soup, milk and 3 cups cheese. Pour over macaroni; stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Cook 15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with paprika.

Tuna Pasta Casserole.
Ingredients:
1 c. Frozen peas;
1 can condensed cream of celery soup;
1/2 cup milk;
1/2 c. (2 oz) shredded Swiss cheese;
1 can (6 1/2 oz) tuna, drained and flaked;
2 c. Cooked corkscrew or other macaroni (1 cup uncooked);
2 hard boiled eggs, chopped;
1/2 c. Crumbled potato chips.

Directions:Place peas in small microwave-safe bowl. Cover with vented plastic wrap; Microwave on HIGH 1-2 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside. In 1 1/2 quart microwave-safe casserole, stir soup and milk until smooth. Stir in cheese. Fold tuna, macaroni, eggs and peas into soup mixture. Cover with lid; microwave on HIGH 5-7 minutes or until hot and bubbling, stirring once during cooking. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes. Sprinkle potato chips over casserole. NOTE: Cream of Chicken or Cream of Mushroom can be substituted for the Cream of Celery.

These are simple recipes and can be made quickly when you come home from a hard day's work.

Pasta casseroles are also suitable for vegetarians, so they make a very versatile dish if you have unexpected guests who happen to be vegetarian.

Crock Pot Casseroles are the Quintessential One Dish Meal

I'm a fan of casseroles - meat, vegetables, and carbohydrates all in one dish. But when you really take a look, you realize as you're cooking that casseroles are truly NOT a one dish meal. You have a pot to cook the noodles, a strainer to drain them, a pan to brown the meat, a pot to heat the cream base and combine everything in, and a baking dish to bake it in. That doesn't seem like one dish; it seems more like five.

Then I realized there's absolutely no reason why you couldn't make casseroles a one dish meal by making them in your crock pot. Yet, to be fair, it's not one dish. You do have to brown the meat before adding it to your crock pot, so you use two dishes. Still, two is better than five when it comes to dishwashing.

Following is a recipe reference - merely suggestions in how to put together a crock pot casserole. Add or delete meats, vegetables, experiment with seasonings, and create your own quintessential one dish meal.

Crock Pot Casseroles

1 pound ground meat (beef, chicken, turkey)

1 can cream based soup

1 ½ cup water

1 cup celery, chopped

2 cloves minced garlic

1 onion, chopped

16 oz frozen vegetables

8 oz cream cheese or sour cream

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp each season salt and dry mustard

4-5 cups noodles (any strong kind such as penne, ziti, egg noodles, macaroni)

Spray crock pot with cooking spray. Brown meat and drain. If using cream cheese, melt with meat over medium heat. Transfer to slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients except noodles, mix well. Layer noodles on top. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or high 3-4 hours, until noodles are tender.

Side notes:

1)Depending on the noodle, you may need to mix throughout cooking time. If this is not possible, layer the noodles between the meat mixture.

2)If you are using sour cream, add during the last 30-45 minutes of cooking.

Old Fashion recipe sausage stuffed zucchini casserole and Honey Mustard Coleslaw

This recipe for zucchini old garden favorite is simple, fast and delicious. The inside is hollowed out zucchini and sausage. Everything is covered with cheese and bake. They are meat, vegetables, dairy products, cereals and all in court. Serve with honey mustard coleslaw, if desired.

SAUSAGE CASSEROLE stuffed zucchini

This recipe is from the neighborhood where my school was. (My primary education;high in a building!)

4 medium zucchini
1 / 2 pound crumbled sausage, fried and drained
1 onion, chopped
1 / 2 cup bread crumbs, whole wheat bread
1 / 4 cup tomato sauce
1 beaten egg
1 / 4 c. teaspoon salt
1 / 4 c. teaspoon dried thyme
1 / 4 c. teaspoon dried oregano
1 / 4 c. teaspoon pepper
Parmesan cheese for garnish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Given a set of zucchini in boiling water for 10 minutes. Remove the zucchini from the water and let cool.Cut the zucchini in half lengthwise and core centers. Add the sausage, bread crumbs, tomato, egg, salt, pepper, thyme, oregano e. Mix well, then the zucchini with the mixture. Garnish with Parmesan cheese to taste. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Cabbage salad with honey mustard

4 cups cabbage
1 cup shredded carrots
1 / 4 cup chopped green onion
1 / 4 cup cider vinegar
3 tablespoons honey mustard
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon poppy seedsSeeds
Spoon 2 tablespoons of sugar
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

In a large bowl, combine cabbage, carrots and onions, stir to mix. In a small bowl, combine the vinegar, spices, honey, mustard, mayonnaise, poppy seeds, sugar, salt and pepper. Beat until smooth. Pour the dressing over cabbage mixture of spices and season with salt and pepper. Chill several hours before serving.

A spicy pork sausage in bulk

One 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 can of tomato paste-6Ounce

Brown your ground meat and sausages in a skillet over medium-high to medium and let drain. Stir in cheese cubes and reduce heat to about half. Stir constantly until cheese is melted. Mix the tomato paste, tomatoes, peppers, green peppers and chilies and stir to make, mix well. Transfer to slow cooking and serving.

2 cups uncooked Hörnli
3 cups diced cooked chicken
02:01 cup diced process American cheese
1 small onion, chopped
02:01 cup chopped celery
02:01 cup chopped green pepper
1 (8 ounces) water chestnuts, sliced
1 (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 (10.75 ounces) can condensed cream of chicken soupneat
1 1 / 3 cups milk
One (14.5 ounces) chicken broth
04:01 cup butter or margarine, melted
03:02 cup crushed crackers
04:03 Half Cup cashews

Instructions

The pan in the same exact order, layer macaroni, chicken, cheese, onion, celery, green pepper and water chestnuts.

In a bowl, combine soup, milk and broth. Pour the water chestnuts. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a baking pan 13x9x2 cmBowl.

In a small bowl take butter and cracker crumbs, sprinkle pan. Garnish with cashews.

Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until macaroni is tender.

Instructions

Marinate

Place chicken in a glass dish or bowl and marinade. Mix by hand. Cover bowl and place in refrigerator forapproximately 30 minutes.

Prepare the sauce

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon wine, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon oil, 1 tablespoon cornstarch / water mixture, chili paste, vinegar and sugar. Mix and add green onion, garlic, chestnuts and hazelnuts.

In a medium saucepan, heat gently until the sauce flavor.

Remove the chicken from the marinade and fry in a large pot until the meat is white and green juices. As an aromatic sauce, fried chicken and addsimmer until sauce thickens together.
