Pulled Pork Sliders

Do you enjoy the taste of pulled pork sliders but don't have a smoker? Here is an easy and delicious way to make pulled pork sliders in a Crockpot.

Ingredients:

Meat Casseroles

Choice of Pork Tenderloin, Pork Shoulder, Pork Loin or Pork Butt

2-liter bottle of Root Beer or Dr. Pepper

Spices: salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder or garlic salt,

Liquid Smoke

Favorite Bbq sauce

Slider buns

First choose your cut and size of pork based on personel preference. Personally, I choose whatever is on sale at the shop that day. I regularly cook 2-3 pounds of pork for a house of three. That leaves leftovers for pulled pork tacos the following day.

In a small bowl make a dry rub by combining salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder or garlic salt. Mix together sufficient spices so it will wholly cover the meat.

On a cooking board or making ready mat, poke holes in pork with a fork. Next, cover pork with dry rub and place in slow-cooker or Crockpot. Fill the Crockpot with root beer or Dr. Pepper, exterior the meat. Take caution not to pour the soda directly onto the meat washing off the spice rub.

Cover Crockpot, turn on high, and cook for about six hours. Supervene the instructions in your Crockpot manual. After six hours, ensure pork is cooked by using a permissible meat thermometer. Take off pork and place on cutting board. Drain Crockpot. Pull pork apart by using two large forks or tongs. Once you have removed the fat, place the pulled pork back into Crockpot, pour in your beloved Bbq sauce, and add 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons of liquid smoke. A minuscule liquid smoke goes a long way, so use sparingly. Cover with lid and cook on high for an additional 1-2 hours.

When you are ready to eat, warm the slider buns in oven per box directions. Scoop the meat using an ice cream scoop, place on buns and enjoy easy and delicious pulled pork sliders.
